Scarves and a Walk

Four new scarves fresh off the loom, still need to be finished and washed. The warp is navy blue tencel, and the wefts are gray alpaca silk blend, olive green tencel, bright blue tencel, and a very dark blue bamboo. The bamboo photographed very oddly, it's not actually purple at all.

We all went for a walk on the land the other day, it was about 25 degrees out and windy, so there was much bundling up to do.

New Scarves

These four are tencel warp, and there's one with dark purple tencel weft, one with taupe tencel, one with a very dark blue bamboo weft, and one with a really lovely alpaca/silk blend in a nice berry color. They each have a different treadling to play with the point twill that I used, and I'm really pleased with how they turned out.

Progress is Happening

Both looms are warped with scarves right now, and the first scarf on the big loom is nearly done. Hooray! It's nice to see things moving along.

In other news, Bug is three months old now! She has a lot of personality, it's pretty neat.

Three New Shawls

I've been excited to try this twill pattern since I first saw it. It's so neat, and has so much character, I really enjoy it. It was a lot of fun to plat around with and explore some of the possibilities this warp presented.

The first one, same gold Tencel for weft that's in the warp.

The second has a dark purple Tencel weft, different treadling to make a smaller and even cheerier pattern.

The third one has a brick red Merino wool weft for most of the length, and a square-ish chunk of that same dark plummy purple on one end. This might be my favorite of the three.
